... Smoked Chicken Foccacia still wrapped.

... it looks damn delicious cause I was dead hungry already.

The last meal of the trip was on AirAsia. I ordered the Smoked Chicken Foccacia for the return trip. The air stewardess was very naughty. She told us that my name wasn’t on the list, meaning that we didn’t place any order for the Smoked Chicken Foccacia. When I was about to give up, she asked for my IC for verification. It was then I realised that she pulled a fast 1 on me. Luckily I have my sandwich, as I was really hungry that time, not knowing if there’s anything else to eat. Probably she afraid that I might swallow her up if she deprive me of my food.

Being so hungry, the sandwich tasted exceptionally good. After eating the whole thing, it felt like I haven’t had anything. I missed my Subway sandwiches.

My sandwich with added cheese was quite fulfilling. CTSW called for coffee break and I skipped my dinner, eagerly looking forward for a cup of my favourite XM. By the time I reach the place, I was already hungry and I can’t help by had to order 1 of the sandwiches there. I had the Club Sandwich before, which was quite good. Now I wanna try something different instead. Though the bacon was not sauteed until crisp as how I’d like it to be, it still taste good on itself. Reminds me of hams.

Next time I’ll try something different instead…

Today EL asked for shopping so that he could buy his CNY clothes. By the time we reach 1Utama, it was already lunch time. While we were unable to decide on what to eat, I suggested Chili’s on a whim. Manatau, EL never had Chili’s before, thus we went on ahead.

Since it was EL’s first time, I suggested to him to try their lamb grill, which was really good. He was eyeing on the ribeye steak instead. But the price for it probably put him off. Besides, I wasn’t hungry at the moment as I had breakfast earlier. So I told him let’s order a main course and something else lighter. Hence the Cajun Club Sandwich came into view.

... I was surprised to find Esprit drinks on the menu. Unfortunately they don't have Passion Fruit. Though it cost less than RM8 excl tax and service charge.

... seeing that we were sharing the main course, I suggested that we order a Cajun Club Sandwich as well.

... the grilled lamb seemed more like a quarter done than half.

Our medium rare grilled lamb was rather raw. Though the outside was cooked, but big portion of the meat slab was raw right in the centre. Perhaps I should have opted for 3-quarter done. Somehow, I do recall my medium rare lamb shoulder was perfect. Anyway, despite being raw on the inside, the lamb was quite tasty. Thought it wasn’t as juicy as a ribeye. At the same time, it was quite sinewy. The menu stated that it would be served with black pepper gravy. Somehow, I don’t see any gravy on the plate. Anyway, we can’t finish the slab of meat, which was quite big. Perhaps I should just stick to lamb shoulder next time. The mash potato was excellent. DC gonna love it!

Our sandwich was acceptable. The cheese wasn’t the kind of cheddar slice cheese that you can get from supermarket. It was shaved from a big chunk of cheese slab. The fries were damn nice. Probably the best fries I’ve had in the year.

I saw the O’Briens promotion on my Facebook, stating that any sandwich will only cost RM10. But the promotion only available in Sunway Pyramid outlet. I would’ve gone there myself, if AC didn’t buzz me on MSN. Hence we share the private moment together, while EL was sleeping like pig until 4pm, then only reply to my SMS. We had the most expensive sandwich on the menu, of course. Afraid that we might miss such opportunity again.

I had the O’Brien’s Chicken Tripledecker, while AC ordered the O’Brien’s Crambo Club. Somehow, we were both served with the same Chicken Tripledecker sandwich. I guess the lady took the wrong order. The sandwich was thick because it has 3 slices of bread on it. 1 piece of very crispy chicken crisp, which was quite dry, but salty. Very nice indeed. Then there were chicken cutlets with melted cheese holding them to the bread. On the bottom layer, things were falling apart because the vegetable and coleslaw can’t hold them together. Hence stuff got really messy in the end.

My banana refresher was quite a refreshment. Usually, I was a bit wary of banana drink as I wouldn’t know how it would turns out. Fortunately, it wasn’t too thick, not like some banana shake or smoothies. The carrot and apple’s flavours were almost non-existence though. Mainly dominated by banana and orange.

I’ve heard of good compliments from HL regarding the vegetarian bak kut teh here. Finally, today I have the chance to try it out as most of them prefer the healthier choice of food nowadays.

Being a vegetarian bak kut teh, it was considered quiet nice. At least it was better than Organic Vegetarian Freshmart‘s bak kut teh. There were plenty of complimentary stuffs given to us, probably because there were 6 of us. The organic sandwich was quite nice and stuffed with shredded seaweed. Despite most of the stuff there were vegetarian, but that place serves chicken egg, probably organic chicken eggs.

I’ve extended my invitation to PCL to go try out this place somewhere last week. But due to her tight schedule, we have to postponed it. I finally got hold of her this week and fortunate for me, I still remembered that this was the place that I said I wanted to go. Hence we get to go today. When I looked at the menu, they have dishes like those in restaurant where you order your dishes to go with your rice. Anyhow, with just the 2 of us, we were better off just go with those personal sized portions.

My cup of iced lime was overly sweeeeeet. I guess sugar was cheaper in Pan Bakery. As for my aglio olio spaghetti. The looks of it was rather disappointing. It doesn’t seemed like aglio olio to me, cause there were way too many shredded chili on it. It was like having Hakka noodle with chili flakes. The only thing aglio olio about it was probably the abundance amount of chopped garlic. Taste was nothing aglio olio too. I ordered a seafood one, though I was surprised that I even found peas, long beans and funny, shredded cabbages. Well, I had to eat all the vegetables because I’ve abandoned the rest of the meat to PCL.

PCL orderd the Pan Club sandwich where the bread was toasted till crisp. It was rather crunchy. She said it was quite nice. To me, it was acceptable but somehow it lacked something. Perhaps it was the beef bacon that was removed from it. What’s a club sandwich if it lacks the bacon, right?

Overall, the lunch wasn’t exactly fine. The good sandwich doesn’t make it up to the bad pasta I had. But I might go there again to try something else next time.

I tried to be different today. I ordered something which I wasn’t sure if it was nice, instead of just did what PCL did by ordering an egg sandwich. When my Chicken Cutlets In Mushroom Sauce was served, I was so surprised. Yes, I rummaged through the whole plate looking for more chicken cutlets. Finally, I gave up. I was only give 2 pieces of chicken cutlets which were about the size of a 50 cents coin each. I guess their purpose of putting in an extra 1 piece so that the dish’s name on the menu would look and sound nicer with a plural ring to it.

Well, if I’m getting only 2 pieces of cutlets, so is the score for the dish. 2 out of 10 then.
