Went to DoReMi for dinner with AC. This time he finally has the chance to try the fried flat noodle at the siu chao stall.

... honey sweet potato and normal sweet potato.

... both has yellowish inside with the honey one more yellowish.

Coincidently, the fried chestnut and sweet potato little lorry was stopping right in front of DoReMi. I decided to try the sweet potatoes as I usually don’t eat these snacks. Since there’s an extra mouth to help eat them, I went ahead and bought a normal sweet potato and a honey sweet potato.

AC seems to like them as the sweet potato wasn’t dry, as he mentioned. As for me, I haven’t had them for ages. Pretty nice as the skin wasn’t too difficult to peel. Though most of the meat was sticking to the skin. The honey one was easier to peel. But it was no as moisture as the normal one. Though this was a little more sweet than the normal sweet potato. At the same time, I find it too sweet. So I’d rather go with the sweet potato next time.

The first time I had this, it was amazing. The steam was billowing up to my face and it has very good aroma. The fried flat noodle wasn’t too dry as well. Despite being dry fried, it was very moisture and rather oily. But it was nice. Nicer than the too dry fried flat noodle from Taman Paramount. Together with the jalapeno, it reminds me of the fried flat noodle from my hometown, which I missed very much.

This is probably the best fried flat noodle in town. Will keep my options opened for something better if I ever encounter any, while AC said, “just enjoy the best that you’ve found and don’t bother about hunting…”

Having lunch at Station 1 Cafe wasn’t exactly my kind of choice to make. Reason being was, it’s hard for me to decide what to eat. Despite the photos on the menu looked tempting, but most of the food turns out just not as good as it looks. But today, my colleague suggested to eat there, so I decided to just go with the wind, since she rarely makes decisions. Besides, I’ve been telling her about a cake in Station 1 Cafe that she might like.

… Flourless Chocolate Cake. I used to have this quite often in SFCC until it has been taken off the shelf and no longer serving it. Big boo-boo to SFCC.

… hot honey, as usual.

… I decided to stick with the 1 item which I think is still nice to eat, fried chicken salad rice.

… she had a curry noodle.

The cake was good. It was as good as the one I had in SFCC. You probably can’t go wrong with making cakes like this. My rice was acceptable, but I could barely finish it though. As for the curry noodle, she commented that, the noodle was like Maggi’s noodle. Well, that’s Station 1 for you.

I just had lunch with my friend and decided to go for Station 1 Cafe for a drink, since we have got nothing to do. At the same time, he’d like to try out my camera because he was deciding on buying a dSLR camera.

… hashbrowns with tuna and sardine toppings.

… honey milk shake.

The hashbrowns were nothing to should about. Apparently, the tuna topping was nicer than the sardine’s one. The honey milk shake was nice, but it does taste a little like coconut milk.

This was my second time visiting Station 1 Cafe at my place. The previous time, I didn’t bring my camera along. Not that I get some good pictures this time. Anyhow, my previous experience with Stations 1 wasn’t a good one, but I heard that their salad chicken rice was good, so I gave it a try this time.

… some longan drink with shaved ice.

… my colleague had a hot honey, as usual. Totally kills off all the nutrition in the honey with hot water and metal spoon.

… salad chicken rice.

The salad chicken rice was indeed good. I could managed to finish the whole plate without much trouble. Though the chicken was a bit cold and the rice was not fragrance. Anyhow, this could be the best salad combo compared to other type of rice meals.
