... DL said, make sure there's at least 1 fish dish. Knowing he loves Teo Chew steamed with super sour. This was a special request with pH2.5 soup. Look at the leakage at the bottom of the pan.

This place was a pretty good one, amidst the bad lighting conditions. The clay pot pork belly with salted fish was quite nice. PG was asking for all lean meat at first, but the lady boss assured him that it has to be taken with fats on the meat and no one asked for lean meat only for such dish. I was chuckling away at my table corner (though the table was round, somehow I managed to find a corner for myself). The gravy was sweetened though. Then the stir fried kai lan was amazing. The taste was just right, not too salty and the feeling of healthy dish as it wasn’t too salty like other places. I felt so contented with it.

Hot plate bean curd was nice, but I still preferred my favourite hot plate bean curd laden with superb mushroom sauce. Only to be found in Subang Hi-Tech. Finally, when the fish was served, I was almost blinded by the acidic vapour billowing up from the plate. The soup was super sour and super salty at the same time. A pH2.5 kind of soup. DL loves it, I can’t take it any longer. I thought I lost my tongue from the corrosion.

A place worth another visit, maybe not going to challenge the lady boss for an “extra sour” Teo Chew style steamed fish.

I’ve been craving for this crispy chicken for a while now, probably 1 or 2 months back. Every time I remembered about it, it was either during lunch time on weekdays or it was Sunday evening. During lunch time, I can get it from Asia Cafe in SS15, but it would be very inconvenient in term of parking. While on Sunday evening, the other source was in Ming Tien Hawker Centre, which is located in Taman Megah. The place would be packed with people because of the night market that was held there every Sunday night.

Fortunately, I suddenly remember about it before I could decide what to have for lunch. Hence, I went out to pack a takeaway and eat at home. Hence the late lunch. It’s not a very filling meal too because I’d feel hungry after a couple of hours having this kind of meal. I don’t need to feel too full because I’d be going for my boss’ baby’s full moon’s dinner.

Aside from the rather salty crispy stuff on the chicken and the feeling of guilt for having such unhealthy meal, there wasn’t anything else that worth complaining. It used to be sold for RM4.50, complete with a drumstick and egg, now it’s RM5.50 already. Nothing escapes the inflations, other than RM5 chicken chop in Kuan Yew Restaurant, of course. I wonder when will be my next time having this. Hope this satisfies my cravings for another 2 months or more down the road.

I tried to be different today. I ordered something which I wasn’t sure if it was nice, instead of just did what PCL did by ordering an egg sandwich. When my Chicken Cutlets In Mushroom Sauce was served, I was so surprised. Yes, I rummaged through the whole plate looking for more chicken cutlets. Finally, I gave up. I was only give 2 pieces of chicken cutlets which were about the size of a 50 cents coin each. I guess their purpose of putting in an extra 1 piece so that the dish’s name on the menu would look and sound nicer with a plural ring to it.

Well, if I’m getting only 2 pieces of cutlets, so is the score for the dish. 2 out of 10 then.
