The cup of ABC was full of essence, most of them was from beetroot. The thick soil taste beetroot. Anyway, it wasn’t that bad at all. Still acceptable. My Mushroom Straganoff was rather surprising as I’ve got no ides what it was. I was expecting probably some rice cooked with mushrooms. Turns out it was served on a lasagna bowl with some flat noodle sunken at the bottom of the bowl. The sauce was quite nice and oyster mushrooms were used as main ingredients.

Unfortunately, there were come tempe in it. There was 1 item on the menu which was the potato tempe. I guess it was potato tempe in my food, which doesn’t taste very much better than its soya bean tempe counterpart.

My meal was so healthy today that I can shout “strict diet” at EL again. 😀

On a side note, the shop wasn’t certified Halal, but its meat supplier was Halal certified.

My stomach was not feeling well from my previous garlic fried rice. So I decided to have something light, preferable not so solid like rice. I guess there weren’t many choices for me on the menu and hence…

Today’s egg was excellent. Just right! I was enjoying my egg on toast very much. Then the miso soup, which was overly salty, yet it was very thick. I think the ingredients worth 2 bowls but served in 1. Give me hot water and I’ll dilute it nicely. Beetroot juice was not as good as my previous own combination of beetroot with carrot. At least this was at cheaper price of RM3.50. I guess beetroot is only nice if mix with other fruits, and not just some flavouring, cause I could taste the mud-like flavour in it.

The initial plan was to go Canai & Such Cafe for fried rice. But then, I thought that since the place opens until late, I can always go for dinner or supper. Then I thought of Carrefour. Later as it got nearer, there’s this place that I’ve been wanting to try but always forget. It’s Daiki Cafe, resides in SS15, sharing the same building as Subang Park Hotel.

The nasi lemak looks good. The sambal was sweet yet it was nice, though I was expecting it to be salted. The rice was not warm though, yet it has the coconut milk fragrance on it. Considered better than most place. Would’ve been better if the rice was steamy and warm and more lemak fragrance. The cendol was acceptable. It wasn’t too sweet. Plenty of coconut milk which made the ice tasted salty. The brown sugar wasn’t genuine gula melaka as it lacked the fragrance which I like. Then I ordered another cup of drink. Seeing that they served beetroot with pineapple, I went ahead with it. Though I opted for beetroot with carrot, as I don’t fancy pineapple. The change cost me extra RM2.00 on top of the original price. Steep!

Later, I ordered the toast with egg on top. My previous half boiled eggs experience was disastrous. This is the time for redemption. The toast was spread with butter and then toasted till crisp, then a half boiled egg was break onto the top of it. The sides of the bread was very crispy though the saltiness from the bread hinder the egg’s full performance. Anyway the egg was so much better than the one I had last night.

A place I’d definitely revisit.
