Went for lunch with both ALGJ and LGFL. At first they suggested the Cili Padi food court in Carrefour. I frowned upon it at first because of the bad lightings. Then I told them that there’s a Station Kopitiam which took over the previous Don Sushi’s store location. They agreed to give it a try.

Despite my strict diet, I ordered the seafood sambal petai because that was what ALGJ wanted initially. I told her she could have all my seafood, I’ll only stick with the sambal and the petai. The sambal was super spicy. Aside from being just hot from the wok, it almost kill me in the process of eating it. When I tried ALGJ’s grilled fish, I could barely taste anything because my tongue was nearly numbed from the spiciness of my sambal. LGFL’s chicken was rather tasteless. I told ALGJ to bring her to the RM5 chicken chop in SS3 because that cheaper chicken chop was much better.

DL asked for lunch today, along with MH. He suggested to have wanton noodle at Koon Kee in Petaling Street. But as he picked me up, he changed his mind again. The ever fickle minded DL said we were going for roasted pork in Pudu. He get my assurance if I could eat that. As if I got a choice when he’s around, not like he’d go all vegetarian. Anyway, I said it’s alright if I’d just have very little of it.

Unfortunately, when we were there, the shop Wong Mee Kee was closed. So we settle for the nearby yong tau fu instead.

The iced barley with streaks of pumpkin was rather nice. The soup was not bad but the fried yong tau fu weren’t good at all. According to DL, it has mixed of salted fish in the meatball stuffed into the fried bean curd skin, which I find it rather odd and unappetizing. Usually, with lousy food, it would have been accompanied by excellent condiments. Unfortunately, the condiments, both chili and the sweet sauce were both very watery. Definitely not the kind of yong tau fu that I’d come back again.

Went to Well Cook Gourmet Restaurant for lunch today. TSL has been nitpicking on my diet and she wouldn’t allow me to have anything which was even slightly against my strict diet. So she suggested this place as there are stuff that I could eat.

I guess aside from the fried laksa, I guess the 2nd best thing would be the mee Jawa. This was the first time I actually had it all by myself. I had only tried the gravy last time and I find it quite nice. Well, consistent to its flavour, it was quite nice too this time. Except, I would prefer it to have a least some crispy crackers like those served in my hometown.
