... some 3 layered from your friendly pork.

... boil the oil until it is bubbly.

... start deep frying those pork.

... looking good.

... unfortunately, the inside looked raw.

I really don’t want to give it any ratings cause this experience was pretty much failed. Got the recipe from 阿蘇 2nd season. She said (from my best memory):

  • put some salt into some cold water, mix it until the salt dissolved.
  • add some garlic into the cold water as well.
  • soak the raw pork into the cold water for like 5 – 10 minutes.
  • take out the porky and wrap it dry with a piece of dry cloth. It has to be very dry in order to avoid armageddon when try to fry it.
  • boil oil until hot and dancing bubbles are seen.
  • put the salty garlicky porky into the oil and fry.
Here comes the interesting part:
  • leave the pork in the oil and close the pan.
  • lift the pan a little to let the air out.
  • when the explosions subsided over time, open it a little and shakes some water droplets into the wok. QUICKLY shut the lid and let the explosions continue.
  • repeat the steps above until the porky meat looks nice, like a piece of golden bar.
Guess what? The inside was quite cold.

... roasted pork only, as usual.

Similar to my previous visit. It tasted pretty much the same. Somehow, the skin tasted a bit weird today. Like overnight frying oil.

Bought some raw ingredients for today’s lunch. Went into the old IT room, which was turned into a store room now, to cook our stuff in there. A meaty meal, rather pushing my strict diet to the limit.

There were plenty of food including a turkey. Plenty of pizzas from Pizza Hut and some local delicacies such as fried noodle and vermicelli. I didn’t managed to have a taste on those cakes as I was busy playing with my colleague’s D300. They were so pretty, but I doubt they would be nice to eat. The drink was made by Kuma. I heard it’s a cocktail (alcohol free) mix of her own recipe. I only had a few sips and then I’ve forgotten about my drink, because I was busy with the D300 camera. Not sure if the rest of them went to the toilet after having that concoction.

We stopped by the mamak for a tea break before going for swimming.

The guy who made this plate of burger set knew that it was for my niece. So he took the extra work to made the graffiti up to cheer my niece up. She was enjoying the meal and she said the graffiti was very nice.

Went to Ipoh for a little shopping, upon mother’s request. Bought some of these snacks back for my own pleasures.

… I’ve never seen Toblerone that comes in pieces. I think it’s good for snack breaks, cause you don’t have to open up the whole bar. As for the Lindt, I usually won’t buy that, but seeing that I rarely eat Lindt’s cocoa. I decided to give it a shot. Please ignore the rubber band and lens cap.
