Met up with AC today as he wanted to send his car for polish in Puchong. Since we were there, I thought of bringing him to try out my favourite roasted pork in Old Klang Road. It was so long ago the last time I went there. Besides, getting there from Puchong is toll free. The place being famous for its awesome roasted pork, I told him that we better move quick and save the car test drive later.

When we were there, the place was already crowded. Fortunately, we were able to spot an empty table amidst the crowds. I was being kiasu and quickly place my order. Then sat down and enjoy my drink.

When I ordered my bamboo cane drink, I asked for less ice. Guess what? When the drink came, it was indeed less ice, just that the ice block was so huge, it could sink a Titanic.

I got the soups for us both. Unfortunately, we can’t drink it yet, because we don’t have our spoons with us. The fork and spoon usually came together with the rice. Our wait was a long one because the time we were there, most of the tables were not served yet and we were 1 of the last to reach there.

As we wait, the takeaway queue got longer and longer. Finally, after about 20 minutes, our food arrived. It took them pretty long, just to chop up all those pork, which were already readily available. I should have brought along my ceramic knife to help them out.

When the BBQ pork and roasted pork were served, AC was surprised that the roasted pork was for 3 pax. Because it seemed double that of the BBQ pork. Well, good stuff never comes in big quantity anyway. Fortunately, he kinda likes the BBQ pork and the roasted pork. Though, as usual, the best stuff, the crispy skin of the roasted pork were smaller portion than the meat itself. Some got shattered during the cutting and left on the cutting board.

After the lunch, we adjourned to nearby for dessert. He recommended a place for really good nian gao. Well, I’m all for good food, so we went on straightaway. Of course, only after we’ve paid our bills.
