After our dinner, we went to the pasar malam to see if there’s anything that worth eating… I mean, buying. I bought some muachi’s, prawn crackers while walking toward the other end. When there weren’t anything else edible, we turned back. Stopped by a stall selling soy milk and beancurd jelly. We had 1 each while I specifically asked for brown sugar.

... that's a lot of brown sugar the guy gave me.

... the brown sugar eats into the epidermis layer of the tau fu fah. What would happen to my stomach then?

I didn’t eat it until I went back home and started eating it quite late. The top layer seemed rough already. I guess the brown sugar was corrosive or something. When I had a scoop of it, I could see that the brown sugar has eats into the top layer of the beancurd jelly, dying the top layer with colour brown. Pretty scary, I wondered what they put in the sugar. But I must admit, it was quite good and very generous on the brown sugar. Very sweet too.

It was a waste that the leftovers brown sugar has to be discarded.
