The durian bantal (durian pillow) was firstly introduced to me by KC. He’s a super durian lover, basically anything with durian in it, he’ll loves it. Even if I give him a steamed bun with durian as the innards, he’ll lick his fingers. So, I have my doubts when he said it was so great and a must try.

So, today I saw the stall. Each piece cost RM2 and minimum purchase is 2 pieces in a box. Since I know I most probably won’t be returning, I decided to try all 3 flavours that were being offered despite the high price tag. My little snack cost me RM12 already with a total of 6 pieces. Unlike how I imagined it would be, the durian pillows weren’t superb, despite I have a 2nd serving to assure of that. I still prefer the cempedak one as it could cover the cream taste perfectly. As for the mango, I’d recommend them to drop that off their inventory. If you like durian + whip cream, go for Big Apple’s Duren-Duren instead. At least that cream was laden with durian fragrance, despite there isn’t any actual durian in it.

Well, how do I like them? The sequence of the photos explains it. From the best till the worst. Move aside king of fruits, give way to the cempedak when it comes to pillow.
