Ampang Homeland Yong Tau Fu, Taipan Triangle

Called EL out for dinner today. He suggested the usual location, Taipan. We were indecisive on what to have hence he recommended the Ampang Homeland YTF. He said it wasn’t too bad. I decided to give it a go, something which I wouldn’t try myself. The menu was unlike your usual YTF style. They come with set per pax. So you just pick your stuff based on the number of people you have and they serve you variety of YTF for the portion of 2 pax.

... dunno what fish was this. It has damn lots of bones in it, like twigs.

The YTF pieces were nice, though not amazing. While the soup was amazingly nice. I can’t stop drinking the MSG filled soup. EL ordered the asam fish and pandan chicken wings as well. The sauces were very nice too, where the sweet sauce was claimed to be the original recipe of Ampang YTF’s sauce. A place worth a 2nd visit, though it was pricier than your usual YTF. I suspect the fish and chicken wings must’ve cost a lot. But the dinner was enough to fill up the 2 of us.
