After our heavy breakfast, we went hunting for dessert as according to the magazine. Boy, the place was hard to locate before it was not POI on my GPS map. Fortunately, we managed to find it by asking the local though.

... it's called the 8-treasure snow. I supposed there were 8 different ingredients in it, excluding the syrups and ice, of course.

While still quite full from the breakfast, I took on a whole bowl of ais kacang. The syrup used was rather exquisite. It was quite nice, though it was very sweet too. Be sure to drink a lot of water after that. EL was saying that, instead of normal sugar syrup, a kind of herbal syrup (八寶) was used. Worth a try as it was different from what I usually get, and it doesn’t come with the weird or bad after taste like those I had in KV. lol

AC called for dinner tonight. It was a last minute thing. I was reluctant at first because I had snack from my company’s birthday celebration. But he said he wanted to have fried rice from Canai & Such Cafe. I have always wondered how the ordinary fried rice would be like because their nasi goreng kampung and nasi goreng kambing were very nice. Finally, I succumbed into his temptation and went along with a rather full stomach.

The iced bandung that I ordered was not as sweet as the usual bandung, but it was still a tad too sweet. I’ve go no idea what prompted me to order that. Probably because AC was asking for lime syrup. My ordinary fried rice was rather disappointing as compared to my previous experience here. It was unappetizing when it was served. I was expecting it to be lightly coloured like the nasi goreng kampung. Maybe I should just stick to nasi goreng kampung sans the anchovies. AC’s fried rice with lamb meat was rather wet today. Or should I say it was soggy. Yet the taste was still as good, due to the masala used for making the fried rice.
