... the first time I had Milo shake here was many years ago, introduced by a friend whom stays in Setapak.

... the famous special porridge. It was published on newspapers so many years ago.

... nasi lemak bungkus. A brand that I've never had.

... this nasi lemak has soggy anchovies, but the chili was very spicy.
Rating: 6/10
The porridge was pretty much the same as last time, except this time, the pepper was free. The last time I had it, it wasn’t as spicy. Then this time, where were carrot slice in it too. DL was complaining about porridge having carrot in it. The Milo shake kosong has added sugar in it. I dunno what’s wrong with the guy’s hearing. The nasi lemak was very ordinary. DL was chomping down 1 pack, I was licking my lips because I wanted to eat too, but trying hard not to, because he was having the one with “Jun” brand. The brand which I had once too many. Then I realised this was another brand, hence I… was tempted.

... this yam rice wasn't bad at all. Though I've additional yams from CLL, making it a YAM rice instead.

The dishes weren’t bad at all. I was picking the vegetables including the mushrooms, while the ladies took the pork with salted fish.

... as usual, I'll ask for both benta kaya and gula melaka for my homemade dumpling.
Rating: 4.5/10
I don’t have any appetite today, so I’ve only ordered homemade dumplings for lunch. My homemade dumplings came very late cause the waitress didn’t not place my order, despite I made it clear to her that I wanted both benta kaya and brown sugar as condiments. The taste was pretty much the same as the last time I had it.

... I picked the fried bittergourd in salted egg yolk to give it a shot. Something which I don't like, both salted egg and bittergourd.

... fried beancurd with crabstick in it.

... kung pow chicken.

... salted fish pork belly meat.

... sweet sour crab.
Rating: 4.5/10
Went to dinner with family. Firstly, the salted egg yolk fried bittergourd. Though the bittergourd was not bitter, but the semi runny salted egg yolk was very … loathsome. Fried bean curd was quite nice, though I saw some crabsticks inside it, which is kind of turn off for me. Kung pow chicken was nice as it was unexpected. I never thought my parents would order that. It was considered quite nice, though I’d prefer it to be more spicy. Salted fish pork belly was so-so. I had only 1 piece, as I don’t really like it. I prefer those in KV’s. Finally, the sweet sour crabs was quite nice. Except that the crabs was too small. Unlike those I had in Yap Yin
Food was so-so. Pretty much something similar that I had previously, though the price was very cheap, as each dish cost around RM4 till RM12 only. Except for the crabs, of course.

... complimentary soup.

... bean sprouts the common items in chicken rice.

... the chicken was deep fried before served.
Rating: 6.5/10
Brought EL to try out the deep fried chicken rice here today. My last visit was years ago. Today bean sprout was very crunchy and tasted bland. It was fine though. Then the chicken was quite nice, but my chicken breast part was barely any skin. Skin is the nicest part of the chicken.

... fried balitong, something I've never had for a very very long time.

... roasted pigeon, a rarity in local food courts.
Rating: 7/10
Went to nearby food court with EL after an XM session. He said there’s nice roasted pigeon there. So we went to try and we ordered both roasted pigeon and fried balitong. Roasted pigeon was nice, the outer layer was sweet, glazed in honey. The meat was salted and seasoned with cinnamon powder as well. The fried balitong was nice too, reminds me of my childhood.

... polo bun, looking similar to a pineapple.

... mushroom garlic bread, costing RM2.20 each. A bit steep.

... Japanese chiffon cake, taste pretty good.
Rating: 6.5/10
I liked their chiffon cake quite a lot. Previously, I’ve tried both the vanilla chiffon and Japanese chiffon cake. This time, I bought the Japanese chiffon cake again. Though they tasted quite similar, but Japanese chiffon has larger pores in it. They are very soft and plushy, very nice indeed. Unfortunately though, the polo bun wasn’t that nice. And the mushroom onion bread was a bit too costly.

... the last piece of Mango Delight in the counter. Yes, it was leftover from yesterday.

... ALGJ's set lunch, chicken in tomato sauce, if I'm not mistaken.

... the aptly named flavoured latte. I went with hazelnut syrup.
Rating: 4/10
My Mango Delight cake was a mess when it was delivered to me. Instead of standing by itself, it was laid down sleeping like a lazy pig. What a way to serve your patron their precious slice cake! I had to flip it up to take photo of it, though the cake looked like it was just gutted by a robber. My latte was nothing to complain about, but for RM7.50 each, I prefer something more tasty.
ALGJ’s chicken set looks nice though, especially that sauce. I might have guessed it wrongly, it could’ve been sweet and sour sauce. Unfortunately, she was super hungry today as she cleaned the whole plate, without any leftover for me to try.

... putu mayam sans the brown sugar and coconut flake.

... 1 of the best fried chicken in town, despite it was already cold.
Rating: 6.5/10
Though I still prefer my putu mayam with brown sugar and coconut flake combination, but this wasn’t too bad either. Mainly because the curry was quite nice, and the dhal was especially nice as well. The fried chicken was consistent to what I’ve had the last couple of times, though it was cold, most of the time. I have to spot the right time when the chicken was freshly fried. Then, according to AC, the chicken would be much nicer by a few hundred thousand folds.

... complimentary soup.

... pickled fruits with sengkuang. No dragonfruits this time.

... organic nasi lemak. The hard boiled egg was so good.
Rating: 5.5/10
Went to Medifoods with ALGJ and TSL. I was still feeling quite full and lazy to think of what to eat. They finally suggested this place. And again, I was tempted with the nasi lemak there. The last time I had the nasi lemak there was not bad, though I don’t have my camera with me, so I can’t blog about it. This time, I brought along my camera.
Unfortunately though, the sambal wasn’t so good this time. Probably because I was still full. The complimentary soup tasted bland and the lacked of dragonfruits kinda put me off, even though I wasn’t a big fan of dragonfruits. The pickled fruits tasted weird, so I’ve only had a little bit of them.
