Roasted Meat, Pudu

Our plans to go Wong Mee Kee’s roasted pork has failed again today. After our trip to Direct Photo, Wong Mee Kee was on the brink of closing shop at around 1pm+. PG then recommended this roasted pork, which he claimed was nice, right opposite of Pudu Plaza. Since it was nearby, I have no complain on it. Better than having yong tau fu again.

Firstly, the roasted pork wasn’t up to my expectation. I guess PG must’ve been at the home town for too long, it corrupted both his mind and tastes. Time to send him to Mooi Mooi to refresh his taste on what’s considered a good roasted pork, or even Medan Selera in PJ Old Town will do too. The roasted pork was a bit run air (soggy) on the skin, reminded me of my home town’s roasted pork style, which I don’t like. The roasted chicken on the other hand was rather nice though. Despite being a roasted chicken, the meat was tender and moist. Felt like steamed chicken. But then again, I don’t really like steamed chicken anyway. The BBQ pork was glazed with abundance of sweet sauce. It was nice but not awesome. Then the roasted duck, which I preferred not to have it. It lacked the herbal taste, just plain roasted duck with not crispy skin. Bean sprouts was torrent with pepper.

Didn’t managed to catch the stall’s name, even PG doesn’t know. It doesn’t really matter as I won’t go there again anyway.
